ELDER – Together with ministers of the Word and Sacrament, Elders exercise leadership, government, and discipline and have responsibilities for the life of the particular church and the Church-at-large. (Book of Order) Elders must have a commitment to personal and congregational stewardship and be willing to provide administrative and program leadership in cooperation with other Elders and staff. Elders should be willing to work together and know or learn the Presbyterian system and its traditions.

DEACON – The office of Deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ (Book of Order).  Deacons work to offer prayer and assist families in times of need. Deacons provide nurture to the congregation.  Deacons should be willing to work together and know or learn the Presbyterian system and its traditions.
